Tabla Class

What we do ?

The tabla is one of the most iconic percussion instruments in Indian classical music. It consists of a pair of drums – Dayan (the smaller drum made of wood) and Bayan (the larger drum made of metal or clay). Known for its rhythm, melody, and unique sound, the tabla plays a vital role in shaping the beauty of Indian music. But beyond music, we can also understand tabla from a programming perspective. In Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), a class is a blueprint that defines the properties and behaviors of an object. By imagining a Tabla Class, we can model its real-life features and actions in the digital world. This not only helps in understanding OOP but also creates a bridge between culture and technology. Unlike many percussion instruments, the Tabla is capable of producing distinct syllables (called Bols). Each sound has a name—like Na, Dha, Tin, Dhin—which allows learners to treat rhythm as a spoken language. This unique feature makes Tabla both fun and intellectually stimulating.
